Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a boating license or boater’s card?

No boating license or experience is required. As a bareboat charter operation, you’ll hire a licensed captain from our approved list at checkout. The captain is paid separately and handles all navigation and operation of the vessel.

How much does a captain cost?

Captains are paid separately by the charterer and typically charge around $75 per hour. This rate may vary by captain and is negotiated directly between you and your selected captain.

How do I select a captain?

During the booking process, you’ll see a dropdown menu with our list of approved, licensed captains. You can select your preferred captain at checkout and arrange payment directly with them.

What’s included in the charter price?

Every charter includes fuel, a cooler with ice, life jackets for all passengers, and our large floating water mat. The boat is equipped with a restroom, air conditioning, and a premium Bluetooth sound system.

What should I bring?

Bring your own food and drinks (no glass containers), sunscreen, towels, swimwear, and any personal items you’d like. We provide the cooler and ice, you just need to pack it!

Can we bring alcohol?

Yes, passengers 21+ may bring alcoholic beverages. The primary renter must be 21+ with a valid ID. No glass bottles are permitted, please use cans or plastic containers only.

What’s your cancellation policy?

Guests may cancel up to 7 days prior to their scheduled reservation for a full refund. Cancellations made within 7 days of the reservation date are non-refundable. We’ll make every effort to accommodate rescheduling when availability permits.

What happens if there’s bad weather?

Charters may be rescheduled in the event of severe weather. We prioritize safety and will work with you to find an alternative date that works for your group.

When should we arrive?

Please arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled departure time to complete paperwork, meet your captain, and board the vessel.

Where do we depart from?

Departure location details will be provided upon booking confirmation. Pickup locations can be customized based on availability.

Can we stop at restaurants and bars on the lake?

Absolutely! Many guests enjoy stopping at popular lakeside venues like Shady Gators, Dog Days, and Backwater Jack’s. Your captain will know all the best spots and can accommodate your preferred itinerary.

Is the boat accessible for guests with mobility challenges?

Our docks and boarding ladders are not ADA accessible. All guests must be able to safely board and exit the vessel without assistance.

Can we swim from the boat?

Yes! Swimming and floating are encouraged. We provide a large floating water mat, and your captain can anchor in safe swimming areas and quiet coves throughout the lake.

What are the age requirements?

The primary renter must be at least 21 years old to book and sign the charter agreement. Guests of all ages are welcome, though parents are responsible for supervising children.
